The main goal of this survey is to explore lifelong learning in the third age island community Syros hope that findings will provide data may be useful creating educational programme structures. Lifelong taking place with a group senior citizens at KAPI Municipality Syros-Ermoupoli explored, along potential implementing comprehensive active programmes specific age. topics examined include idiosyncrasy members, their needs for ageing, expectations and motivations, objects knowledge they seek limitations set. principal showed fertile field pilot structures informal education members see such launch less reticence than expected, but on condition present hierarchy family social priorities not radically upset. elderly are open idea participating programmes, select desire channel skills acquire local community, which volunteerism. It noteworthy relation open-ended questions regarding objects, took initiative propose cultural as part training.
